Hello squaddies,
Earlier last year, the JoinSquad forums were taken down due to an issue where some forum members were receiving spam messages. To ensure that our members were safe, we took down the forums and began migrating users over to a new forum solution.
Today, we can happily say that the JoinSquad forums have returned. Though it’ll be a fresh start in terms of post content, if you were a member of the last JoinSquad forums, your old profile will continue to be accessible. When logging in for the first time with your credentials from the previous forums, you will be required to change your password as an initial security measure.
With these updated forums comes a few extra features! Notably, there’s a new Rank system that encourages members to post and engage in discussions to unlock expanded features – such as signatures. There’s room for expansion of the ranks and features that come with them and we’d love to hear your suggestions or ideas for future additions. We’ve got a specific section within the forums for such feedback!
Discussion and community interaction are a core tenet of Squad and we hope that the return of the official forums can help bring this to the forefront again. We look forward to fostering healthy in-depth discussion on everything Squad-related and things you want to see come to Squad in the future.
